Fatima Al-Awaidi’s journey reflects the transformative impact of youth empowerment when the right support, resources, and opportunities are in place.

Fatima was one of the participants in the ENG – Empowerment Network for Growth, a transformative initiative by EduRise designed to unlock the potential of young leaders in fragile and underserved contexts. The programme focuses on leadership development, community engagement, and equipping youth with the tools needed to overcome challenges and drive sustainable change.

Through a combination of training, mentorship, access to resources, and a strong support network, ENG empowers participants to turn ideas into action. Fatima fully embraced this journey.

With the support of EduRise and the ENG programme, Fatima went beyond being a trainee. She became a trainer.

She designed and led the Intilaq Training Programme, delivering a focused and impactful learning experience for nine participants at Guinness University. Within just a few weeks, she facilitated a series of practical sessions aimed at developing employability and entrepreneurial skills, aligned with real market needs.

Her approach combined interactive learning, practical exercises, and peer engagement, creating a space where participants could build confidence and apply their skills to real-world challenges.

By the end of the programme, the transformation was clear. Participants who initially faced limitations demonstrated increased confidence, stronger skills, and a renewed sense of direction.

Fatima’s journey is a powerful example of how targeted support and mentorship can enable young people, especially young women, to step into leadership roles and create meaningful impact within their communities.

Her story reflects EduRise’s broader mission: building a network of empowered youth leaders who are capable of driving positive and sustainable change.
